In addition, we use cookies and analytics tools when you visit our website. Further details can be found in Sections 4 and 5 of this privacy policy.

b) When using our contact form

For questions of any kind, we offer you the opportunity to contact us via a form provided on the website. A valid email address is required so that we know who the request is from and can respond to it. Further information can be provided voluntarily.

If you call us, send us a letter, or email us, we will store your personal data for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry or to handle your matter. 4. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small files that your browser automatically creates and which are stored on your device (such as laptop, tablet, smartphone) when you visit our site. Cookies do not harm your device and do not contain viruses, trojans, or other malware.

Information stored in cookies relates to the specific device used but does not provide direct knowledge of your identity.

We use cookies to:

  • make the use of our website more pleasant (e.g., session cookies to recognise that you have already visited certain pages),
  • improve user-friendliness with temporary cookies that store certain settings for a defined period,
  • statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it to optimise our services (see Section 5).

The data processed by cookies are necessary for the purposes mentioned and for our legitimate interests as well as those of third parties pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can configure your browser to prevent cookies from being stored or to display a warning before a new cookie is created. Disabling cookies completely may mean that not all features of our website function properly.

5. Analytics Tools

Tracking Tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out based on Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR. We aim to ensure a customised design and continuous optimisation of our website. Furthermore, these measures help us statistically record website usage and evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our offer.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the relevant tracking tools.

Google Analytics*

For the purpose of customising and continuously optimising our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). In this context, pseudonymised usage profiles are created and cookies (see Section 4) are used. The following information about your use of the website is generated and transmitted to a Google server in the USA:

  • Browser type/version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of the server request

The information is used to evaluate website usage, compile website activity reports, and provide other services relating to website and internet use for market research and to tailor the website to user needs. Data may be transferred to third parties where required by law or if third parties process the data on Google's behalf. Your IP address will not be merged with other Google data. IP addresses are anonymised so that assignment is not possible (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies via your browser settings; however, doing so may mean not all website functions are available.

You can also prevent the collection and processing of data generated by cookies in relation to your website use (incl. IP address) by installing a browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Alternatively, you can prevent data collection by Google Analytics on mobile devices by clicking an opt-out link, which sets an opt-out cookie. If you delete cookies in your browser, this cookie must be set again.

In the case of direct marketing, you have a general right to object without specifying a situation.

To exercise your right of withdrawal or objection, simply send an email to mail@anwalt-riehemann.de.

8. Data Security

We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method during your website visit, combined with the highest encryption level supported by your browser—typically 256-bit encryption. If not supported, we fall back to 128-bit v3 technology.

You can recognise encrypted pages by the closed padlock or key icon in your browser’s status bar.

We also use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data from manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorised access. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
